Hello, I would love to join this publication as a writer!

For the first question, it is difficult to choose because I have written about so many amazing figures in history. I will have to say Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, because I think they were the quintessential partnership. This couple made such an impact on America, and even the world, during the 20th century, and no other political pair could rival them. My work at the FDR Library and the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site definitely helped shape my view on how incredible the two of them were.

You can judge the past through the lens of today up to a point. So much changes over time, whether it be socially, geographically, culturally, or politically. And part of being a good historian is doing your best to understand the time you study and accept that, right or wrong, it was what it was. What hasn't changed are the basic principles that go into being a good person. Therefore, what Hitler did, even though antisemitism was rife in the 1920s and 30s, and not just in Europe, is still abhorrent because he was responsible for the deaths of millions. Regardless of what year or century you are in, that can't be justified. There's a fine line.
