Nothing is black and white when it comes to Lindbergh. No doubt he was a pioneer, and later a great environmentalist before to was popular, but so many of his beliefs and the words that came out of his mouth were troubling and divisive. I think more than anything he was in awe of the Nazis and what they were building in such a short amount of time. But you are right, he did serve and nearly gave his life. A complex man, to say the least. Thanks for reading and commenting!
